An original acrylic work by Ned Pamphilon. On a plain white ground, two medals, a fold of red cloth and an unrolled parchment bearing the words "Peace at Home, Peace in the World" alongside Atatürk's signature come together.
Unlike the dense accumulation of colour in the painter's other works, here space and simplicity take precedence; attention is drawn directly to the relief detail of the medals and the flow of the handwriting.
